Roberts Radio Re-covering Service

A professional re-covering service for the iconic Roberts Revival Radio.  I have been refurbishing these radios for many years and have lots of happy customers.  I offer a high quality, friendly and reliable service.

You can supply your own fabric for a unique, custom item (see 'Notes on Suitable Fabric' below) or use the Select a Fabric option to order one of the fabrics I have in stock. I supply genuine Harris Tweed, William Morris oilcloth or Cath Kidston oilcloth (now discontinued by C.K.) in several patterns.

The price now includes the return leg shipping via Parcelforce.  Full details of where to send your radio are sent with your order acknowledgement.

I re-cover all the revival models (including the R250, RD10, RD50, RD60, RD70, Revival Mini and iStream).

Once received your radio will be carefully stripped down, cleaned, re-covered and will look like new again. Broken parts (e.g. aerials) can be replaced at cost but I don't repair electronics.  Please ensure your radio is working before sending.

See my FAQ for other common questions.

Notes on Suitable Fabric: The fabric needs to be at least 100 by 50 cm in size and in one piece. Most fabrics are possible, although best results are obtained with medium weight fabrics such as might be used for cushions or light curtains. Dressmaking cotton tends to be too thin and it is also difficult to achieve good results with very thick fabrics or those with a significant pile. Most successful, I think, are oilcloth, cotton duck or tweed. If choosing a patterned fabric I would recommend a small pattern or one with minimal plain space. The front of the radio is small in area and larger or widely separated designs can get a bit lost.
